HOW THEY
FUNCTION? |
|
The laser sensor makes use of the triangulation principle for
two-dimensional acquisition of profiles on varied surfaces. The system
projects a laser line on the surface of the object to be measured
thanks an optical group which generates a laser plane whose
intersection with one surface is a 2D profile. The back light from the
laser line is registered on a CMOSarray by an high quality optical
system and she is estimated in 2 dimensions. A moving object will
generate three-dimensional representation of the object. |

SCANDEX consists of a compact sensor and an intelligent controller
connected together by a cable of variable length (until 10 m). Thanks
to its speed of measuring and real time data synchronisation, SCANDEX
is not limited in its applications and it is suited for industrial in
line inspection. SCANDEX is controlled by a powerfull PC with an
integrated FireWire interface. |
