RODER Electronics presents
DATASINK 100, a software for the acquisition, the print and the
recording of data concerning the dimensional controls.
DATASINK 100 is used in all
applications where is necessary an economic and easy instrument and it
allows to increase the quality control procedures and process
certififcation..
DATASINK 100 can be
installed on whichever PC with Windows XP operating system and though a
cable it is possible to transfer in a file or on a graphic the acquired
data from portable or statistic instruments like thicknesses, widths,
profiles, diameters, ovalities, deformations, roughness, lengths,
heigths, depths, curving beams, angles, vibrations, oscillations, etc...
The use of DATASINK 100 ......
In many measure, control or
certification applications is necessary to transfer data from the
manual measure instruments (calipers, micrometers, indicators,
roughness instruments, thickness gauges, etc..) to a paper document or
to a file.
Generally
the easier and more diffuse way is that the operator during the measure
operations of an object, write the obtained measures on a sheet and
after record they in paper or informatic format these data.
In some cases data must to
be transformed in graphics (to allow a more significant process
evaluation) or it is necessary to carry out calculations on acquired
samples (statistic calculus, max and min peak detection, calculation of
productive coefficients of the production line).

This procedure can cause some problems like :
-
Possible mistakes of data transcription during the reading of the instrument or during the data transfer to PC
-
Necessity to interrupt
the measure procedure to write the data (in some cases the operator
measures with both the hands therefore he can't carry out both
operations in the same time)
-
The time for data transcription can be important if the number of data to acquire is remarkable.
-
The graphical representation must to be made with suitable software (Excel or similar)
-
The sample number per
second that is possible to acquire is not very high (a fast operator
can't note more than 1 measure per second)
With DATASINK 100 is possible to increase all these operations , for example :
-
Allows,
through a connection cable, to transfer the data on the measure
instrument directly to a PC (fix or portable) elimenating the manual
transription operation.
-
It doesn't have limits for the limit of consecutive acquired measures and allows to acquire until 5 measures per second.
-
It is possible to set the automatic acquisition of a prearranged point number.
-
The
graphical representation is an automatic function of DATASINK 100 with
relative paper print or recording in graphic format (jpeg or
similar).
-
Allows to record in text format in a file an illimited quantity of samples.
-
Through
the data automatic transfer function to an Excel calculation sheet is
possible to transfer the acquired data in a workspace already in use or
inside a consolidated system of production management and control.
-
Through
Excel function is possible to carry out automatic calculation on
acquired production data (statistical calculation, max and min peak
detection, calculation of productive coefficients of the production
line).
Moreover
DATASINK 100 allows to use for the measure instruments that can be
purchased with low investments. Infact DARASINK 100 acquires data from
measure instruments with DIGIMATIC standard protocol created from
Mitutoyo and present on the entire range of instruments of Mitutoyo
Catalogue.
How work DATASINK 100 ....
DATASINK 100 can be installed on whichever fix or portable PC with Windows XP operating system.

Through a connection cable
and a suitable interface, that You can purchase from RODER Electronics,
is possible to make a connection with whichever instrument with
DIGIMATIC protocol and acquire in automatic intervals or on command the
measured data from the instrument through a RS232 serial port or a USB
port.
Data are transferred in real
time from the instrument to the PC and it is possible to continuously
monitoring the acquisition process trend.
DATASINK 100 can be used
from operators not very experts in the PC use because it has been
created in order to make easier the data acquisition operations in the
production line or in laboratory and the management of acquired data.
How to use DATASINK 100 ....
All measure and acquisition data procedures are explained in detail in the free instruction manual supplied here in pdf format.
